[ Be prepared, Ferin. He totally plans to wow you tonight. He's gonna march right in and make you feel like the most important lady in the world. That's right.

... Or, that was his plan. Work kind of got in the way of everything he had planned, so now he was dragging himself into their house, slinking into the bedroom ...

... And faceplanting into the bed.

He didn't even take his armor off.

He'll apologize for this later, Ferin, but right now he is exhausted. ]

[ Walking into their home Ferin was just glad to be back. No sooner where they in the door that Jaxir trotted off the the living room to flop onto his pile of balnkets. He seemed determined to sleep for as long as he could.

Meanwhile Ferin made her way to their room, stripping off her quiver and weapons as she went. She was tired but she wanted to see if Rurik had been home yet. ]

Rurik? Dearheart? Are you home?

[ Her calls are quieted when she finds the very man she was looking for, passed out in bed. Armor and all.

A warm smile pulled at her lips as she leaned on the door frame. He must have been worn out. Taking the couple steps to the door she sat beside him, pushing his hair out of his face before leaning down to press a soft kiss to his forehead. ]

[ He was pretty out of it, but he did stir a bit at the feeling of Ferin's fingers and the kis to his forehead. ]

Mrrgh-- ... Hey. Sorry ... was tired.

It's fine, work must have been hard, hm?

[ Moving to sit on the bed Ferin relaxed and kicked her boots off with a sigh. ]

We should get you out of your armor if you're going to sleep though. That can't possibly be comfortable.

They work us pretty hard out there.

[ He pushes himself to a sitting position, realizing for the first time since he got home that he hadn't bothered to take off the metal armor he was wearing.

Why he wasn't more uncomfortable while sleeping, he didn't know.

He starts slowly removing all of that. ]

I didn't really notice, I just fell asleep. Sounds kind of silly, doesn't it?

Hm, I can understand being so tired all you want to do is sleep.

[ Reaching out she helped him unclasp a couple pieces and remove them before setting them on the armor rack. ]

I'm sure you'll sleep once you're out of the armor.

[adrenalinerising]

Mrrn ... now I don't wanna.

[ He helps her with his armor, then pushes himself to stand and put it on the rack alongside the other pieces she'd already removed. He came back to the bed and sat on the side, grinning at her like a giant dope. ]

How was your day?

For the most part it was the same as usual. I went out to help with a few of the centaur problems in Shaemor, as usual. Took Jaxir to the river, his fur needed it.

[ Her days weren't as busy as they had once been and it was almost nice to have a home to return to, even if she still got odd stares for not being human. She could handle it if it meant coming home like this. ]

Anything exciting today?

[ Sitting back against the headrest she smiled, trying not to laugh. It was just how his smile seemed to hit her, it was infectious. There weren't many who could do that. ]

[ It was kind of nice to be getting back to regular duty after all that had happened with Mordremoth. It was far less exciting, but also far less stressful. He moved to where he could wrap an arm around her waist and pull a little closer to her, resting his head on her shoulder. ]

I was on guard duty. Another squad went in for a bandit raid, but I'm pretty happy being a guard at the Garrison right now.

[muffledwords]

[ Smiling brighter, Ferin ran a hand through the others hair. It was nice to have the contact with another living person. ]

Oh? Well I guess we can't all have the exciting jobs.

[ There was a small laugh as she kisses the top of Rurik's head. ]

I'm glad you're happy.

[ Awwww ... he smiles up at her, leaning up to kiss her cheek. ]

After all the crap we've been through, I'm perfectly fine having a less exciting job. More chance that way that I'll be coming home to you every night.

[muffledwords]

[ There's a flush over Ferin's cheeks as she smiles. ]

It is nice though isn't it? Finally have everything settled, a home, and stable work that doesn't have us going all over Tyria.

Sometimes I wonder if it's all a dream.

Don't even say that. I don't want it to be a dream. I'd wake up from it and realize things aren't as good as they seem.

[ He yawns. ]

And I'm already exhausted enough ... Just wanna live a normal life for a while.

Hm...

[ Ferin just smiles and cuddles down into the bed, pulling Rurik close to her. ]

We should sleep. Normal life can start in the morning with breakfast.

[The human world was a big place, filled with many new sights and sounds. As such, weekly getaways to new staples of the human city were becoming a tradition, Frisk eagerly pulling out a map every Friday after school, pointing at a new location, and pouting until Toriel finally gave in.

This time, Frisk had corralled them all to go on a trip to Disneyland. Papyrus had immediately embraced this idea. When Mettaton complained that he'd have to find his own way over, since everyone was leaving before his latest dress rehearsal was over, Papyrus eagerly volunteered to pick Mettaton up and meet everyone at the entrance.

...When Mettaton accepted the gracious offer, he probably didn't realize Papyrus would arrive in his sports car, already blasting "It's A Small World" on the stereo.]

Mettaton! Mettaton, hurry! We don't want to be late!

[ Getting a couple last pictures with fans as well as signing a few autographs. Of course as soon as he saw Papyrus arrive he waved to his fans. ]

Thank you darlings~ I can't wait to see you all again!

[ Making his way over, Mettaton quickly got into the car, waving out the window before blowing a kiss and rolling up the window. ]

Oh Papyrus, darling, I'm so excited to see everyone again!!!

As am I! This should be a fun little adventure. Now make sure to get comfortable! It is a bit of a long drive, but at least we have music to entertain us!

[Pulling away from the curb, Papyrus shoots Mettaton a bright smile. He seems genuinely interested in talking with Mettaton more. Though how could he not? He was living with a bonafide movie star!]

How did the rehearsal go?

Oh just the usual, dear, nothing too amazing. Though I think some of my co-stars are really shining lately.

They're just doing so well!

[ It's obvious how happy he is about that. Unlike some human stars he just loves the idea of there being more to make everything he does shine that much brighter. Plus he likes passing on what he knows about being an idol to others, it's like teaching. ]

I'm so glad to hear that! They must be doing so impressively because they have learned so very much from you! I'm sure that means that the show will go wonderfully.

[Papyrus can't wait to cheer him on!]

Oh Papyrus, they were already little stars. I'm just helping them shine brighter!

But yes, it should go wonderfully. I can't wait for it to start! Of course right now I'm looking forward to this vacation even more.

[He smacks his head, as if he almost forgot.]

Right, the vacation! I'm so excited! Have you looked at my trip itinerary?

[Papyrus planned it out so they'd have time to go on every ride.]

I wouldn't be surprised, maybe in time. A long time of course.

[ There' a wink because really he doesn't see it happening too soon. He has so much more to do after all. ]

I haven't! What sort of things have you planned, dear?

Well, of course! I don't think you'll need to worry about them becoming true stars until you've retired. Until then, you'll be the best star on the surface!

[He digs in his glove compartment and pulls out a stack of papers that he seems to have printed a very extensive schedule on. The title reads 'Papyrus' Super Awesome and Cool Adventure in the Land of Disney!' in sparkly markers. Frisk must have helped.]

[ Taking the stack of papers Mettaton can't help but smile at all the detail that was taken with something as simple as a vacation.

Granted they were still getting used to life on the surface, but just from looking at the itinerary it was easy to see just how excited Papyrus was about everything. It was sweet. ]

My my, darling, you definitely went into detail with all this didn't you? It looks perfect.

[It was hard not to be excited. Frisk was working so hard, trying to make sure all their friends found their home here, and making sure they also had fun. He wanted to help them as best he could.
