How do you feel about Aoba taking care of a sick assasssin?
Now al he wanted to do was have something warm and snuggle up, so that's what he decided on. ]
Amico mio, are you even home?
<3!
[But it's not too difficult to talk to Ezio. It's even less difficult to let him come and go into his home as he pleases. It's better to let him come in so he knows he's okay than it is to turn him away or make him stand on ceremony all the time.
[He starts to answer in his native tongue, then remembers himself - and hears something odd - and switches to Italian, abandoning his cooking task in the kitchen. It's a dish he grew up with - a beef and potato stew called nikujaga - and he finds himself glad that he made enough for Ezio as well, if he'll want any.]
I'm here! --Hey...
[Frowning, seeing Ezio's current state, he at once guides him further in, daring enough to touch the man's broader shoulder in an effort to help in some small way, and sit him down into the chair in his living room. Right now, it's the only one he has, and he's pretty sure it would be too presumptuous to offer his bed - to share it.]
You okay?

[ He waves a hand before a sneeze takes him by surprise and makes him jerk violently. ]
Uh...it seems the canals of Venezia have not been my friend today.
[ Taking the offered seat Ezio seemed to slump into it and the warmth that seemed to seep into his bones through cold clothes. ]
Apologies, amico mio, I seem to be getting water everywhere.
no subject
[Frowning somewhat, he ventures,] I think my clothes may be too small for you, even though our height is similar. But it may be better than sitting in wet clothing?
[It's no trouble for him to help him warm up in many ways - platonic especially. (Hey, even he can, ah, appreciate someone who looks good, even if it's another guy. Not that he'll readily say so.) In any case, he has some locally-made clothing that's outside of what he brought with him, even if the color coordination (boy does Aoba love blue) may be a little wonky in places.]
I also have warm stew that is about ready to be eaten - in my homeland, it's called nikujaga. It is a meat and potato stew, and I grew up with it. I would be happy to share it with you as well.

[ Ezio is glad to have found a friend in someone as understanding as Aoba, even if his accent is hard to understand from time to time, the others company is pleasant.
Not to mention he got to try things from another country. ]
I would love to share a meal with you. The food from your country is always so interesting.

[Straightening up, Aoba leaves him alone in order to come back with a towel or two, another blanket, and a pair of pants. They're dyed a dark blue color, in stark contrast to the brighter blue of his hair.]
Here, I hope this comfortably fits. If not, I have some hakama pants that may fit better, as the legs are wider. More room. Ah. If you'd prefer, you may use my bedroom to change.
[Taking a small step back to give him room, Aoba averts his gaze so as to not stare at him so much.]

[ taking the clothes and blanket Ezio was quick to move to the bedroom to change, after all he was freezing and the only way he was getting any warmer was if he was getting out of those wet clothes.
When he returned it was sans hood and everything, hair down as he ruffled it with a dry towel. Tossing a signature grin at Aoba, Ezio as very grateful for his host. ]
They are a bit tight but not worse than anything I have worn before. Thank you again.

[Smiling in relief, Aoba took another look at him to make sure that he seemed more comfortable. Satisfied that he did, he then returned to his room in order to hang his clothes on the indoor clothesline he had in his bathroom. Normally, he'd hang them outside, but he didn't want to somehow give away Ezio's presence by doing so. Especially when he was not feeling well, and it was more difficult to move when one's body was cold.
[Not that he couldn't defend them, even without resorting to a weapon. If he absolutely had to, there was his voice. But, the fewer who knew about that secret of his - Ezio included - the better. It wasn't like he liked using it (and, in fact, it was dangerous for him to use his voice's unique power.)
[But he'd rather avoid any fights altogether.
[Before long, Aoba had brought out the stew that he'd been preparing, giving Ezio a portion first before himself. With a soft murmur of 'Itadakimasu', he began to eat.]
...Mm, thank goodness, I was worried I'd over-seasoned it a little in the earlier stages. This was only the second time I've made it since I traveled here.

This is very good, like nothing I have tasted before. You are a very good cook, amico mio.

[Aoba laughs softly, getting comfortable near him while he eats.]
But, I'm glad it is also to your liking.

[ Ezio is all too happy to be snuggled up with warm food and a warm body not that far from him. It was nice to have a friend who wasn't an assassin from time to time.
He could talk about other things than death.
Also meeting new people and hearing their stories was always interesting. Especially when they came from such a far away place like Aoba had. ]

I left because I want to see if I can find my parents, and talk to them more. Granny and I still speak over letters, even though they take a great amount of time to arrive.
But, I felt like I would not be able to easily grow up if I stayed there. Or, maybe, even though I had roots there, I am just like my parents in some way. Well, even though we aren't related by blood at all.
But, they were the ones who found me, and who named me.
[Realizing how he's gone on and on, Aoba clears his throat, blushing up to his ears.]

Sometimes it is the family that you make that ends up much stronger than the family that god gives you.
Breath, amico mio, it's alright.
no subject
The name they gave me - Aoba - it means "blue leaf" I think they just liked my hair.
[He cracks a wry smile.]
But, it was also the first time I ever spoke, and I was about five years old at that time. It was like all the noise in the world quieted after I heard my name. But for once, I could hear what was going on around me. Or something like that.

To be honest I don't think I could ever know how that feels. I was raised by my mother and father with two brothers, we were a happy normal family.
[ Or so he thought. His eyes dim a bit before he tries to smile again, taking a few bites of his food to occupy himself. He didn't talk about his own past often, only listened to others. ]
I must say I am glad you choose to come here of all places. I am glad we got to meet.
no subject
I'm glad we did, too. This place already feels like home in its own way.
[It'll be interesting if he ever has to use his power here, too. Hopefully he won't get any fanatics.]
Although it's only you I've gotten along with so far, it's not the number of people, but the quality of the bond that matters. And...
[He gives Ezio a gentle smile.]
If you ever need to talk about anything, I am willing to listen. Even if I wind up not understanding it.
no subject
I wouldn't want to put you in more danger than I already do by coming here.
[ Ezio returned the friendly gesture before smiling. ]
As for you having friends, I am sure you can make more just as good if not better than me. You just need to leave the house and socialize from time to time.
no subject
So while your adventures may be a bit more... deadly... than I like, I do want to be able to help you if you're in trouble.
[He cracks a wry grin.]
Sometimes, even I'm amazed at how far words can sway people.

He had to admit he was very greatful to have friends like Aoba and Leonardo. They made it easier to handle everything he did. ]
Well I should count myself lucky to have a friend as understanding as you, hm?
I think I would be amazing if Aoba had to use his voice's power to save Ezio's ass. XD
[He takes a sip of the broth directly from the bowl.]
I suppose you could call it luck. I'd call it something else, but I've forgotten what I've otherwise intended on saying.
That would be~
[ Chuckling Ezio just relaxed further into the blanket and hummed. At least now he was becoming much warmer. ]
I am not just making light of it all though, I am very grateful to have you as a friend, Aoba.
And not just for a nice place to hide or get a warm meal. It is nice to have someone else to talk to.
: D Just imagine Ezio's face when Aoba's comment about words makes sense.
[He's definitely going to try to make some more friends - definitely those on the more "assassin-friendly" side of things - but Ezio is honestly a handful already.]
Ah! If there are any festivals coming up, please let me know! Even if you already have someone in mind to go with, I think it would be fun to see for myself as well.
[He grins.]
oh man xD
[ Wait had he heard that right? Did Aoba want to go with him to a festival?
Hm.
That might have earned a grin of his own. ]
Yes I will be sure to let you know, though I doubt I will have someone to go with. Leonardo tends to be so busy.
:D (looks like he might do it in the single bed meme)
Ah... yeah. I'll uh... if he can't go with you, I-I'll go with you.
woo xD
[ Sorry Aoba he's an assassin, he's sort of trained to pick up on how people are speaking.
Plus he just sort of picked it up to figure out when the really shy girls were trying to flit with him.
Or the really stubborn ones. ]
boom!
